Family

.) "Love for family and friends, great as it may be, is much more profound when anchored in the love of Jesus Christ. Parental love for children has more meaning here and hereafter because of Him. All loving relationships are elevated in Him." (Russell M. Nelson, The Mission and Ministry of Jesus Christ, April 2013, Liahona)

.) "Everyone is a child of God. You can help others feel loved when you tell them why they are special to you. Write a secret note to each member of you family telling them why you love them, and hide it where they will find it." (Dieter F. Uchtdorf, Remember the Forget-Me-Not, March 2013, Friend)

.) "But another crucial source for that feeling of being loved is from other children in the family. Consistent care of brothers and sisters for each other will come only with persistent effort by parents and the help of God." (Henry B. Eyring, Families under Covenant, April 2012, http://www.lds.org)

.)"The family is the foundation for love and for maintaining spirituality. The family promotes atmosphere where religious observance can flourish. There is indeed "beauty all around when ther's love at home." (Quentin L. Cook, Can Ye Feel So Now?, October 2012, http://www.lds.org)

.) "The family has an advantage in the first eight years of a child's life. In those protected years, because of the Atonement of Jesus Christ, Satan's use of mists of darkness to hide the path to return home is blocked." (Henry B. Eyring, Help Them on Their Way Home, April 2010, http://www.lds.org)

.) "The great Russian author Leo Tolstoy began his novel Anna Karenina with these words: "Happy families are all alike; every unhappy family is unhappy in its own way." While I do not have Tolstoy's certainty that happy families are all alike, I have discovered one thing that most have in common: they have a way of forgiving and forgetting the imperfections of others and of looking for good." (Dieter F. Uchtdorf, One Key to a Happy Family, October 2012, Liahona)

.) "The strength of any community lies in the strength of its families. The strength of any nation lies in the strength of its families. Strong family life comes of strong and clear religious understanding of who we are, and why we are here, and of what we may become eternally. ...To the degree that we observe these teachings, we build strong families whose generations will strengthen the nation." (Gordon B. Hinckley, Words of the Prophet: Love At Home, October 1999, http:///www.lds.org)

.) "My brothers and sisters, let us determine, whatever our circumstance, to make of our houses happy homes. Let us open wide the windows of our hearts, that each family member may feel welcome and "at home"." (Thomas S. Monson, Hallmarks of a Happy home, November 1988, http://www.lds.org)

.) "All ordinances of exaltation are a family matter." (Russell M.Nelson, Focus on Values, February 2013, Liahona)

.) "My wife and I live far away from precious family members; we know how that is. However, I believe that we are not headed in the right direction, individually and a society, when we connect with family or friends mostly by reposting humorous pictures, forwarding trivial things, or linking our loved ones to sites on the Internet. I suppose there is a place for this kind of activity, but how much time are we willing to spend on it? If we fail to give our best personal self and undivided time to those who are truly important to us, one day we will regret it." (Dieter F. Uchtdorf, To Give of Ourselves, November 2012, New Era)
