Come to think of it...

Even though I was super worried about flying all the way to the Philippines MTC, thinking I could potentially get kidnapped by someone who has a fake Missionary MTC poster...haa...I was really excited to go. Probably because the Philippines MTC is still "new" and I had constantly viewed its pictures multiple times.

Well, any and every MTC is brilliant and super exciting to be in. So, even though my travel plans have changed, I will still have a great experience at the Provo MTC.

I hear nothing but good news about it anyways (:

gahh....now my report day is two days earlier, but a heck of a lot closer.
and now, my parents, or just my dad, can see me off (:

Perspective Perspective Perspective.

Angels Stadium

Look, I am not a hardcore baseball fan, and if you gave me teams to choose between, I wouldn't be able to choose...because I am hardcore soccer.
But, I loved my first time I Angel Stadium.

Instead, I shall enter the Provo MTC...

Smoothies

GAHH

I love smoothies!!!!!!!!!! This post is dedicated to all delicious smoothie flavor creations (:
[[This is also kind-of a late post...ahha]]

Anyways, I flippn' love me some smoothies. But, I am sorta a baby about them, because sometimes I cannot finish them, and then I am too lazy to carry my half empty (or full, whatever side you are on) smoothie cup and I want to throw it away haha. BECAUSE MY HANDS FEEL SO EXHAUSTED, right?

I am also creating this very post at this very moment because I am craving a particular smoothie RIGHT NOW.

Plus, I sorta came across a smoothie picture while I was on Facebook.

Possible Mission Idea

At first I only wanted to bring blouses and skirts, but after viewing this picture...I am starting to think about bringing 2-3 dresses. oy

Mmm

I sorta want these at my Farewell...time to youtube the recipe!

Perspectives

Yesterday I had the opportunity to visit my friend Amanda Mitchell, with my other friend Tia Brown (both Tia and I are serving as Ward Missionaries right now).

I have not seen Amanda in the longest time, but that is what happens when your life becomes busy with  other priorities: work.

Amanda is a beautiful woman and she is awesome. It pains to me know that she had been feeling outcasted at church during her recent attendances. Of course we do not need to understand everyone's emotions and thoughts, but I just felt extremely sad knowing that she has noticed certain cliques at church.

No matter where we go or how many crowds we meet, there will always be cliques; large or small. It's something we can't exactly get rid of. But in reality, what we can do is understand perspective. For me, I have no problem associating myself with people; all kinds of people actually, whether they or reserved or outgoing. Socializing is one of my greatest skills and it is something I enjoy doing. I know that there are others who would consider themselves passive, but there greatest skills comes in the form of listening.

What Amanda experienced is what we all experience at some point in our lives. When we find ourselves in a midst of people that seem unfamiliar to us and we begin to feel extremely awkward; it happens. If you are passive or outgoing, I cannot tell you to socialize more or to listen more. People are people and our perspectives point out certain paths we are compelled or attracted to take.

So, embrace the skills you have come to understand. Do not be afraid to associate yourself with new people and do not be afraid to hold back on input and listen.

Thankfully, Amanda told me and Tia that she would be at church this Sunday <3
She also sent us messages on facebook, informing us of her gratitude and appreciation regarding our visit and love for her (:

Elder Spencer Johnson
Comayaguela, Honduras Mission

He is going to be so great! Really gonna miss this kid.

Back from space

Sorry for lagging everyone.

What I have learned thus far into the week?

1. Never eat 5bananas, drink 2cartons of milk and dramatically scream when a tiny spider is hanging in the bathroom.
2. Always wear seatbelt before you start driving a car.
3. Never procrastinate on reading goals that you have given yourself.
4. Never underestimate the sweating-power of Highland Dancing.
5. If you want to exercise, do it; stop talking/bluffing about it.
6. When going to the movies, bring chap stick; sometimes the theaters get cold -____-
and finally
7. If you feel the need to water plants that have been neglected for years, make sure that any and all pets are far away from the hose.

Anyways, I will be getting endowed this Saturday at the Los Angeles Temple. I have a 1:30pm session; I am super nervous, yet excited at the same time ahha. For those of you who do not know what I am talking about, just head over to http://www.lds.org and search the word "endowment"or "endowed". It still might not make any sense, but the information will be accurate, always.

I hope everyone has had a sweet week thus far. I feel as though I have forgotten to post certain pictures, but I seriously cannot remember. LOL

Report: 7 1/2 weeks

Saying the amount of weeks as oppose to days really portrays a huge perspective adjustment.

Just saying.

____________________________________________________________________________________

Anywho, I continue to take one day at a time, visit people who do not live near me (them being able to see me and save gas...as my service to them haha), to be genuine with people I bump into (whom I haven't seen in forever...which has definitely been happening lately), and blah blah.

And with the little things:
--picking daisies
--stepping on beach sand
--crouching in a library with the smell of a new book
--playing with my dogs
--laying on my bed as I blast SHUFFLE on my ipod
--smelling the ocean and exhaling a sense of comfort
--digging my hands into uncooked rice....anyone? Am I just weird with this one?
--walking on crunchy leaves
--and so on.

With every trial I face, it is usually counteracted with a sort of "pleasure"... if you will.

I am anxious for the rest of this week (:

Once again, thank you for all the page views everyone (:

Olivia Kha San Jose

Congratulations to my amazing cousin and his awesome wife.
What a beautiful baby girl (:

Are you kidding me?

It seems as though I have repeatedly announced this phrase throughout this week so far. But seriously, people need to hear how I feel about certain things...about everything haha!

I'd rather call you a dumb person than a stupid person. Why? Well, I feel the word "dumb" has a lighter connotation. I am just one of those people who are found euphemisms, if you know what I mean?

Anyways, there are dumb people who give lavish comments because they try to humor everyone and there are those who give the same needless comments because they think it makes them seem more mature. Do you follow?  It's just ridiculous most of the time and it pisses me off, but I keep my cool and move on. I mean, do I need to hold your hand and drag you back to Preschool so that you can learn to think before you speak? Idk. VENT VENT VENT BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH.

Not sure if any of that made sense, at all. Gahh, I am just so exhausted from hearing these people talk haha. I know it sounds rude, but seriously.

I'll give one example, super quick:
Person A: "So how was everyone's morning shift?"
Person B: "We had so many cars during our Breakfast hours."
Person C: "I thought my shift went well because I constantly stocked on straws and Orange Juice."
Dumb Person: "Morning shifts cause me to think about how an octopus can have a baby."

.......Maybe my patience is just thinning out. Too much? Am I being too dramatic? I don't think so...but whatever haah! Ya, it's a funny comment when you say it yourself, but seriously, are you kidding me?

Half way there.

My hectic week is turning out to be...hectic ahha, but pretty sweet at the same time. I've had a lot of additions to this week's priorities and everything has been able to work out for the better. I love when that happens.

Anyways, I probably won't blog tomorrow because I will not be home till super late, and I need to work on sleeping earlier (:

Super Awesome: For those of you who are LDS readers, I received my temple recommend today (for endowments). I don't exactly have an endowment date yet, but I will super soon, I mean... it's inevitable because I am leaving in July xD. Gahh, goosebumps.

Something Funny: I thought I saw a furry dog (like the one from the Littler Mermaid) driving a Honda Pilot...but is was a woman with a wig. How did I know it was a wig? When she made a U-turn, the wig flew out of her car window. HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA. That poor wig.

Night <3

Report: 59 days

First off, I just wanted to say Thank You to everyone who views my blog on the daily. It really brightens my day.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I love people and I hate people, but today, I LOVE people.
I had a fabulous opportunity to meet up with my good friend Rachelle Pacada. It still trips me out that she is married with two handsome sons, but I accept it. I offered my services as a friend to help her with her errands. She has been craving some time to herself, so I told her I would also help out on Wednesday. Serving others brings happiness, FASHO.

Babysitting went very well today. I discovered a hidden passion for legos and coloring sunsets (which look as though they could have been easily drawn by a four year old. WHATEVER BRO).

Coming home and going straight to FHE may have been tiring at first, but I am always happy to take part in all FHE activities.

Overall, today was splendid. As for tomorrow, I am not quite looking forward to it at all. I believe this may be repetitive from one of my previous blogs, but tomorrow might kill me aha. Do not tell me that a 9am-5pm shift is nothing; when it is a Chik-Fil-A shift and you add in certain factors... it can be pretty ridiculous, and terrible. EMPHASIS ON THE TERRIBLE part haaaaa -____-

okay. I am tired. I need to stop staying up so late to write these blogs; they should be done a heck of a lot sooner. Maybe this is why I the bags under my eyes now look like deep-purple, banana-shaped sail boats. Ok...just a bit of exaggeration, but still.

NIGHT! or Morning...whatever side you are on (:

Sunday, May 5, 2013

What a Sunday.

For today's Stake Conference, the Camarillo Stake was visited by Elder Robbins and Elder Saben, of the Seventy. We also took part in giving thanks to our former Stake President (Kurt Blickenstaff) as he was released and his counselor (President Figueroa).

New Stake President: President Lythgoe
New First Counselor: Brother Maddox
New Second Counselor: Brother Garrett

President Lythgoe was a former counselor to President Blickenstaff; he was actually my second guess as our next Stake President. "These men may be imperfect, but they are great men."

After conference, my family cooked BOMB food, as always, I took a terrible three hour day-nap (which I try my best to stay away from so that I can sleep properly), we all watched Once Upon A Time, and I continued my scripture reading.

This week, I know that I will have a great amount of challenges. This week I work every day and every day has a number of goals that I have required, of myself, to accomplish. I know that when I serve a mission, I will work, study, and serve constantly. It will be stressful in many instances, but I will learn to get through it if I have the desire to lose myself in the work of the Lord. I constantly remind myself these things before I've started every week thus far. I report in 9 weeks and 5 days.

This week, I will be pushed on the topics of Patience, Charity, Priorities, and Family. I just know it.

Sister Guayaquil, Ecuador

Morgann Younce; Missionary Farewell
I love this beautiful, young woman so much. I had the great opportunity to play "How Great Thou Art" while she sang, twice, on a beautiful Sunday. She has such an amazing spirit about her and the people of Guayaquil, Ecuador, will not want her to leave. They will notice the way she shines and they will love her dearly. She also reports to the Provo MTC on Wednesday. If it was not for Morgann, I would have never met Kellen (because they are best friends and treat each other like Family) and I would have never fully understood my desire to serve a mission.
She is wonderful. And I will miss her so much <3

Elder Sofia, Bulgaria

Morgann Younce's Farewell
and technically his second farewell, because he reports to Provo the same day as Morgann!

His phone picture. haha. Tall guys make great friends! xD

So, I love how I barely met Kellen, this year, and he is one of the most amazing tall guys...ever. But seriously, he is going to make one amazing missionary in Bulgaria. Whenever we have FHE, he always had the desire to give the Spiritual Thought (before we start our activity). Kellen is a very determined young man, and because he has a specific mentality, he can most definitely accomplish whatever he sets his mind to. The people of Sofia, Bulgaria, do not know how lucky they will be to have Elder Kellen Winslow. Gahh! He reports to the Provo MTC this Wednesday.
Best of luck <3

Smart idea for Farewell Party.

Ya, I am giving this picture its own post... because I can haha! Morgann's Farewell was very cool. The food was amazing, by the way, and everything was just lovely. This is the third missionary farewell I've attended; it's fun to get ideas (:

Mr. Jericho Overton

Return Missionary from Brazil (:

So this guy is way awesome. Whenever we get the chance to converse, he never hesitates to tell me one of his missionary stories. The love he has for the people in his Brazil mission is phenomenal.

Great Day

Santa Barbara Zoo with my sister Isabella and attended Morgann Younce's missionary farewell.

So much to write down, but I am literally wiped out. So, I'll give details sometime tomorrow and post some pictures.

Sleep tight World.

MAIL

Yay! I received the two books I ordered for my mission!!

Now I need to get the next two.

Report: 63 days

I can honestly say that every day has been well equipped with stress; not that it phases me or anything, but it has been pushing my buttons now and then. Practicing patience is such an art. I don't know how some people do it.

What else...uhh... oh! Today us payday! So I will probably pick up the gold later on the evening haha.

The sisters are at school, the mother is on her 12hour shift, the father is returning from out-of-state tonight and the dogs are chill.

Right now I am just trying to figure out what I will be doing with two new piano students today, afterwards I'll go pick up my sisters from school... and sorta really wanna watch "Warm Bodies" or "Beautiful Creatures", because I haven't seen them yet. "tsk tsk"<--- I KNOW I KNOW. :p

Also, I am now in the Alma (Book of Mormon) as of last night. When you lose yourself in the scriptures, you don't realize how much you literally read sometimes... I mean, that's what happens to me xD. Oh, and I cannot wait to receive my mission-approved books that I ordered: "True to the Faith"(my dad has a copy, but I would very much like my own) and "Our Search for Happiness".

ok. byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

Doctor's Office

Well, I do not hit up the Doctor's Office until next Thursday, but I can't stop thinking about it.

I am just really nervous, I guess. Seriously hoping that there is nothing terribly wrong with my hand. Hopefully it won't prevent any mission preparations!

I'm gonna take a nap now. byeeeeeeeeeeee :3

Pinky Promises

...even the ones that have been made, when in the back of my mind I'm asking myself  "WHY", gahh... Sometimes I just need to learn to say NO.

I have nothing wrong with making promises... I just need to count how many I promise, per day haha.

Pretty soon I will be collecting email addresses for my missionary email. I feel like it would help out a lot, so maybe I will start collecting at the beginning of June?

oh....I am so tired, but I am going to watch Peter Pan before I sleep tonight!

......and tell me why I agreed to covering a 9am-3pm shift for tomorrow?
Me and my pinky -__-

He has great potential.
Whether you like his flows or not, I admire the truthfulness in his words.
